At Oakwood Archery, we are very pleased to be able to deliver Archery GB Instructor Award Course.
The Archery GB Instructor Award Course is for anyone who wishes to teach archery at groups such as Cubs, Guides, activity centres etc. and, upon successful completion and passing of the assessment, you will become an approved Archery GB instructor.

Full 2 day course – this could be 2 days during the week, a Saturday and Sunday or 2 consecutive Saturday’s or Sunday’s depending on candidate requirements. See below for next course dates.
Content – You will learn how to prepare and deliver archery sessions in a safe manner, how to set up a range, select the correct equipment and how to shoot and collect shot arrows.
Entry Requirements – Candidates must be over the age of 17 but no formal archery qualification or experience is required.
About the course – You will need to bring pen and notebook for taking notes, lunch (other refreshments provided), suitable clothing (some work may be done outside) and any snacks you may want.
Assessment – At the end of the course, there will be a multiple choice question paper along with a 15-20 minute practical assessment. Passing both of these will award you the Archery GB Instructor Award Certificate. Please note, you (or your organisation) will need to arrange insurance for sessions you instruct along with safeguarding training and DBS checks.
Cost – The cost for the 2 day course is £240 per person.
