At some point in your archery career, you may want some archery development or improvement and here at Oakwood Archery, we’ll support you in that endeavour.

Whether you are looking at entering competitions or just want to develop your technique, Oakwood Archery are keen to help in your archery development and improvement at a pace that works for you. For the most part, archers generally book a 2 hour session every 2 weeks – this allows for the archer to put into practice what is being coached and gives time to work on changes without being overwhelmed by information but the timetable and sessions is wholly guided by the archer.

For the most, coaching is done at Southampton Archery Club (Post Code SO50 9HT or What3Words lively.dream.visit) and target fees for non-members are an additional £5 (we pay this to the club which covers insurance and equipment use). We are able to conduct coaching at other venues (following a successful risk assessment) or from our range at Lordswood, Southampton for those having a 1:1.

We can coach all bow types (except compound at the moment) and sessions cost £25 per hour or £40 for 2 hours. We do not recommend booking more than 2 hours. Archery Bow Tuning

Do you just need some help tuning your bow? Archery bow tuning can be a complicated matter with lots of variables affecting how the arrows hit the target but this service will aim to negate those variables. You will need to allow for approximately 4 hours per tuning session and the cost is £90 per session.

Quick 1:1

Sometimes, you just need someone to stand with you while you shoot and provide some hints and tips (or encouragement). This Quick 1:1 session lasts just 1 hour and does just that for only £25.
