Have you ever thought about trying archery? At Oakwood Archery, we can organise a “Have A Go Session” for you and your friends or work colleagues. Read On.

Nothing better than having a go at archery either just for you or with friends and family or making it a corporate day and at Oakwood Archery, we can organise a Have a Go Session at either the club in Southampton or any other (venue subject to risk assessment).

All equipment is supplied along with the required number of coaches who are all Archery GB qualified coaches, insured and 1st Aid Trained. If you are looking at a large event, then we will need as much notice as possible. Please feel free to get in touch and we can discuss your requirements.

We will go through all the equipment, how to prepare for shooting, how to load a bow, aiming and of course shooting. Once you have had a few ends (shot a number of arrows), we’ll go through scoring and you can use this to compete against family, friends or colleagues if you wish – just to add to that air of excitement. If you would like to add it to the session, you can have a go on an English longbow subject to certain physical requirements; please ask.
